Bud Caldwell has many survival skills. Bud knows many people (which comes in handy when he needs a place to sleep). Bud can also “duck in cover”. But Bud’s most important survival skill is that he is a very good liar. He is such a good liar that he wrote a book called How to Have a Funner Life and Make a Better Liar Out of Yourself. But Bud does not lie for fun; he only lies when he needs to. Bud carries with him; a pocketknife, and a big brown suitcase. In the suitcase Bud has 3 fliers, his blanket, and a small bag of stones.

Bud has been living in “the home” and many foster homes. While in the Amos’es house he makes a 12-year-old wet his bed. He then escapes from the Amos’es house and sets out to find his father.

In this paragraph I’m going to tell you about Bud Caldwell and his many survival skills. His important skill is being a good liar. Being a liar is not good, but Bud laired so he can survive. His number one survival skill was to lie. Always keeping a weapon might have been a survival skill. Why do I say that? Well, Bud always kept a pocketknife. He kept it open just in case there was an intruder to attack. That’s how he protected himself

Lying was probably the most important survival skill for Bud. He had to lie constantly. Bad things came Bud's way a lot. It was easier to get out of situations if he lied. Telling the truth wasn’t always the best thing for Bud to do.
For a kid like Bud, lying would be important. He was looking for his dad, Herman E. Calloway. Bud’s mother died when he was little. Finally Bud ran away from the home to look for his dad. Along the way, he had to lie a lot. People were always trying to beat him up. Lying helped him get away from those people.

Bud has lots of survival skills. Bud favorite skill is lying he uses it to stay away from trouble. Bud also uses it to get out of trouble. Bud also uses it when he was trying to get food at the church. Also when Bud was riding in the car with a guy going to Grand Rapids.

Bud has many survival skills that he uses. For, example, ‘gone dead’ is something a grownup says instead of ‘dead’. Bud runs into a bunch of problems, but he lies to say out of trouble. His mama died when he was four. So he went out looking for his father. But when he finds his so-called father, Bud finds out that his so-called father is his grandfather. His Grandfather owns a band.

Bud’s survival skills helped him a lot so he could find his father. Also he had to lie sometimes to stay out of violent situations. But sometimes he has to tell lies so he can get fed or somewhere to sleep so lies come in handy to Bud sometimes. Bud has ran away from his foster home the Amoes’s to go and find his father Herman E. Calloway. But each lie gets him a step closer every time. But Herman E. Calloway turned out to be his grandfather! This is a real interesting book , maybe you should read it sometime.

I am going to tell you about Bud Caldwell’s survival skills. One of his survival skills is to lie when you need to. Bud sleeps with is pocketknife open for protection. He also sleeps under a tree for protection from the wind and other weather conditions. When he was going to get on the train the train left and he had to run to get on. He threw his suitcase to his friend made and was going to get on but he was so tired he fell. Then his friend threw him his suitcase back to him. He rode with a stranger to the club where his dad live

He found his dad in the club then he went with his dad in the car to his dad’s house. After they get there bud goes into his mom’s bedroom. Then his dad locks the cumbered doors because he does not want Bud in them. Then he says I locked them be cause I do not want you in the cumbered doors. The next day they go to sing. Next day one of the members of the band gives him a recorder his suitcase.

I am going to tell you about Bud Caldwell’s survival skills. One of his survival skills is that he uses lying to get out of things. Also he sleeps with his pocketknife open. When he was at the foster home he got sent to the shed. He tries to escape twice.

He gets out of there. Next goes in and hides their gun. He lives with other people to stay alive. He goes to the library to look at atlases. He uses rules to tell when something good or bad is about to happen. Bud is going to stay with another stranger. He goes to Grand Rapids

He find’s his dad at a club. He lives with his dad and stays with him. He sleeps in his mom’s old room. After this he finds out that his dad is his grandpa. At the end he gets along with his grandpa. Those are some of his survival skills

Bud has so much survival skills to be a good liar. Also he has many survival skills in the world that he uses like to ignore people staring and saying he doesn’t belong or he’s as thin as a stick or pole. He once lived in a foster home when he started his journey then got adopted from the Amoses family. The Amoses family was mean, rude and selfish to him they even made Bud sleep in the shed! So Bud figured that he should run away to live with one of his family members instead. He thought maybe he could find his dad since his mom passed away he never really knew about his dad but he was willing to try to find him. The nights were cold, dark and alone. Bud was so afraid that he always left his pocketknife open. He used some of his survival skills along the way to help him in the wilderness. Looking for his father was tougher than he thought and being a good liar was even more tougher than he thought.

Bud had a lot of skills like lying and surviving. Bud was alone most of his life and he lives in an orphanage until he ran away. He wanted to find his dad when he was gone. He had nowhere to stay so he tried to sleep in a library it did not work out so well. Then he found a family called the Amos’s after a while he notice that they been looking through his bag so he left he came across a building he went in it he saw a guy that looked familiar he thought he was his dad after a few day’s he found out he was his grandpa so he lived with him.

Bud has many survival skills to keep him alive. Here are some. The biggest survival skill that he lies he always lies. He lies to keep him self out of danger. He also runs away from danger. He always is getting beat up. If he does not do any survival techniques then he will get beat up or even get killed. When he sees danger he runs from it. Also he keeps a jack knife with him wherever he goes. When he sleeps he has it open ender his pillow. Then if someone jumps on him then he can protect himself. Or if he is in the public he can pull it out and protect himself from people that might hurt him or kill him. Someone in the book jumped on him and held down his arms because he knew he had a open jack knife under his pillow.

I am going to tell you about Bud’s survival skills. Bud lies to get out of trouble so he can have a better life. Bud has a knack for getting in trouble. Like when he was in a fight with another kid at the beginning of the book. He decided that enough was enough so he rolled under the bed and hid there until the kid’s mom came in the room and grabbed him and put him in a shed. After he escaped he ran away and tried to sleep in a library but it was locked. So he he found a bunch of trees lade up against the library and slept under them. When he woke up a boy was standing not three feet from where he was sleeping Bud carries a jack knife with him to, so anyway when the boy saw him said Bud is that you. And Bud noticed that it was a friend.

I’m going to tell you about buds skill to lie to get out of situations. He lies about everything to get out of a situation. Such as food, shelter and friends which is hard for him. He lives in a foster home where his friends are and he leaves to find his father. At the end he finds out that the man he thinks is his father is his grandpa.

He also has survival tips of how to make a better liar out of himself. They’re pretty good ones here’s one. Rules and things number 328 when u make up your mind to do something hurry up and do it, if you wait you might talk yourself out of what you wanted in the first place. It is a good thing to know some of these things. But some of them might get you in trouble.
